The Oracle and Prop. 13 -- Where's Arnold?

The way that CNBC's "Kudlow & Cramer" gushed over Warren Buffett's presence on the Schwarzenegger campaign the other night, one would've gotten the impression that Alan Greenspan, Ronald Reagan, Moses and Jesus Christ combined had come on board. I, of course, remember the Oracle of Omaha's opposition to the repeal of the estate tax and to President Bush's tax cut packages. Now The Wall Street Journal reports that Buffett thinks that property taxes in California are too low, and that Prop. 13 was a mistake. No surprise, as Schwarzenegger campaign co-chair Pete Wilson believes the same thing.

Where does Arnold himself stand, and how long must the electorate wait for an answer? He would do well to clear the air and do what should be done: sign Americans for Tax Reform's State Taxpayer Protection Pledge. If his campaign had an address, I'd send it to him myself.
